How can a Coaching Session help me? | Living in Wellness GAPS Blog

A coaching session is the perfect opportunity for individuals and families to receive one-on-one time with a Certified GAPS* Coach. The session is all about addressing your questions and concerns as they relate to your journey on GAPS*. Common topics of discussion include assistance with:

  • Understanding the concepts of the GAPS Protocol

  • Understanding the GAPS Protocol spectrum (Full, Intro, No-Plant, Fasting, Ketogenic, Coming Off)

  • Cooking Techniques for the GAPS Protocol

  • Pantry & Refrigerator Sweeps

  • Food Sourcing & Grocery Shopping

  • Practical Issues, such as providing food and lifestyle suggestions for addressing common symptoms

  • Picky Eaters on the GAPS* Protocol (refer to the Coaching Package for Transitioning Picky Eaters onto GAPS*)

  • Enema Issues

(The following is outside the scope of practice for a Certified GAPS* Coach: diagnosing, analysis of test results, giving medical advice, or giving advice related to prescriptions/medications).

For the very first session we have together, you will be asked to fill out a form that allows me to get to know your situation and circumstances. This allows you to let me know what you want to discuss and gives me the opportunity to collect the information you are looking for. Please note that your information is private, and you have the freedom to choose how much information you wish to disclose.

If you are a returning client, you will still be prompted to fill out some basic questions, but it won’t be as long as the first session. This gives an overall picture of how your journey is going so far and what areas of concern you would like to address.

Coaching Package for Transitioning Picky Eaters onto GAPS* – Do you have a child, or children, that you want to transition onto the GAPS* Protocol but don’t know how you’re going to get them to give up their picky eating habits? This package includes:

  • A private one-on-one session to explain the 21-Day Mealtime Management Techniques, to address common concerns and to answer any questions for the transition onto GAPS*

  • A pdf explaining the mealtime management techniques

  • A questionnaire to get you, your partner and/or your other family members ready to tackle the mealtime management techniques

  • A list of foods required for the transition onto GAPS*

  • A list of common symptoms or issues that could arise while transitioning onto GAPS* and suggestions for how to deal with them

  • A final checklist to ensure you are prepared and ready to start the transition

What is the difference between the Coaching Session and the PRESET package?

Both options allow you to book a private one-on-one coaching session. The difference is that the Coaching Session allows you to define what YOU want to discuss within the session, whereas the PRESET package is tailored to specific predetermined topics of discussion.

So when you book a session, you will be redirected to fill out a questionnaire. If you booked the Coaching Session, this is where you’ll be able to elaborate on your personalized questions and concerns that we’ll cover in the session. If you book the PRESET package, this is where you’ll fill out specific questions geared towards the distinct content within the PRESET package.
